Joker" is all about the famous archenemy, an original, independent story you've never seen before on the big screen. Besides, the journey to explore Arthur Flick (Joaquin Phoenix), the man his community underestimates, is not only a scary personal study but also a cautionary story.

  • Irresponsible to say the least

    By Kyle Iacona
It you want two plus hours of glorifying mental illness and subliminal but quite obvious radical political messages shoved down your throat this is the movie for you. The same industry that has refused to take a stand against pedophilia is now championing mental illness and rallying behind anarchist figures making the clinically insane the true victims/ heroes of society. In a movie where (spoiler) the villain quite literally goes insane kills people and begins riots he somehow amassed overnight this cult following and becomes the “people’s champion”. Cops are murdered, lawlessness erupts, and mob mentality takes over. Fast forward to 2020 and look where we’ve ended up. Another classic example of people acting out Hollywood fantasy. Not even going to touch the Trump/Wayne parallels, if you’re going to be that blatantly obvious in the movie you might as well just change the chapters name. I’d give this film 0 stars if possible.
  • Send in the clowns 🤡

We went to the movies and went to watch this masterpiece and I can safely say, this is the best movie I have seen all year. Joaquin Phoenix performance is is electric, volcanic, and deserves all the praise it deserves. I know it’s not gonna be for everyone but this is definitely the movie I needed and I wanted and it didn’t disappoint me.
  • A drab pretentious bore.

It’s important to not mistreat those with disorders. But this movie made a legendary villain, to be a loser, a bore. There is nothing interesting or entertaining about a loser with a gun shooting people he mentally assumes did him wrong. What more pathetic than Arthur? This movie claiming to be good. It’s an unoriginal piece of poo.

This is by far one of the worst movies I have ever seen. This wasn’t a comic book movie it was a film that was made for no other reason than to grab an Oscar. It was a boring drama that simply used characters from Batman’s mythology. I will say that Joaquin Phoenix’s performance in the movie was excellent but the film itself was f**king trash.

**No spoilers will be given in this review** Spectacular movie!! This is not your tradition comic book movie, like Avengers or Superman, etc. It’s not like a traditional Marvel or DC movie. Characters that you usually think of that “go with” the Joker is Batman or Harley Quinn. Those characters are not even in the movie. This movie is solely based on the Joker himself. This movie tells the tale, beautifully, of a mentally unstable man, and his journey to becoming one of Gotham City’s most feared villains. Amazing script, amazing acting, and gorgeous costume design, makeup, etc. I highly recommend this movie! I am 15 years old, and tbh, this is a movie you should probably not watch with kids. I watch a lot of thriller, drama, superhero, and horror films because I’m not really affected by any of that stuff, but some kids might be. This movie is rated R for a reason. Hope you enjoy the movie!!
  • Tremenda Película

    Excelente película, me encantó.
  • Worst origin film

    By mromero025
This film is overhyped and is a very poor origin story.. IMO the joker is best when he’s depicted as an intelligent psycho/sociopath who worships chaos and upsetting the order of things. This film depicts the joker as weak and mentally ill, to the point where “society” is to blame for his development... defiantly not what I expected after listing to the hype. Wish I would’ve walked out when I first say the film. Oh, and not sure why De Niro had to be in this film.... another DC flick, another flop

My favorite movie ever. You either hate it or love it. Beautiful Score, one of the best performances of the last decade. Cinematography is on point. It’s amazing. Watch it.
