While there may have been adequately founded frustrations with the Apple Store for having a MAJOR screwup on not allowing previous purchasers the ability to automatically update to the 4K, I can say that it does appear to be resolved for any new purchases.

Purchased this movie in 2018 and no free upgrade to 4K. Contacted Apple and they don’t care. So now I have to purchase it again……

Remember when you could only buy movies at a real life store? You didn’t go in the store demanding that they give you the remastered version for free because your outdated, ten year VHS looked like crap in comparison. REMASTERED VERSIONS COST TIME AND MONEY TO MAKE! Would you work at YOUR JOB for free??

Brilliant contrasting of imagination of childhood with the cynicism of adults. Definitely made in the 70s and it shows, but I don’t care! Love this film! Edit: Now I see that all the bad reviews are for the 4K transfer. I get it, but I still love the movie
