Description

High Anxiety is Mel Brooks' renowned spoof of over ten Alfred Hitchcock classics, including Psycho, Vertigo, and The Birds. After a Harvard psychiatrist (Brooks) takes over the Psycho-Neurotic Institute for the Very, Very Nervous, he realizes his predecessor died under suspicious circumstances. When events take a murderous turn, he is accused of the crime and left with a full blown case of "High Anxiety." Madeline Kahn, Harvey Korman and Cloris Leachman co-star in this hilarious parody.

I remember seeing this when I was a kid when it came out and I had no clue about Hitchcock movies (except for the Birds). I found the movie so funny and hilarious. My brothers and I would watch it all day and laugh all day. A must see for all.

Mel Brook's salute to Alfred Hitchcock is absolutely brilliant. With Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, and Madeline Kahn on the list too its hard to fail. There are so many bits and pieces within this movie that make it worthwhile. Probably my favorite Mel Brooks movie.

I rave and cry tears of laughter for one of Mel Brooks' greatest comedy hits! "High Anxiety" dramatically spoofs some of Hitchcock's most suspenseful films including "The Birds", "Vertigo", "PYSCO", and many many many more. From the shower scene in "PYSCO", to the evil birds in "The Birds", this Mel Brooks film keeps the humor and suspense throughtout this movie hit!

Look this is Mel Brooks were talking about. What more do you expect. So, if you never have seen this movie, YOU SHOULD, you will see so many familiar people like the bad guy in Blazing Saddles, and Blucher (nnnaaayyyy. :-) ) from Young Frenkistein (it's pronounced "Fronkensteen".) So check this movie out.
