Description

Bargain hunters at Forest Ridge Mall get more than they bargained for: a chubby flasher in a ratty bathrobe. They're repulsed. Security guard Ronnie Barnhardt isn't: "This disgusting pervert is the best thing that ever happened to me!" Catching the flasher may be his ticket to a real police job and to romance with a hot cosmetics-counter princess. Only one thing stands between Ronnie and destiny: a tall, handsome cop who actually knows what he's doing. Seth Rogen (Knocked Up), Anna Faris (the Scary Movie series) and Ray Liotta (GoodFellas) star in this mall-to-wall comedy covering acres of wild, sometimes raunchy, up-in-your-grill funny - all under one roof.

I’ve watched this movie at least three times over the last few years and it had me laughing hysterically every time. Definitely not recommend for sensitive audiences though.

This was one of the funniest films I've seen. The comedy is awesome in my opinion. One of Seth R. best.

A couple of the reviewers get it. The movie is part "Clerks," and part Mall Cop - but with a real twist of black humor. It's very much a parody of a stupid mall cop movie, but Rogan takes the mall security guard stereo type and twists it. It's nice to not see Anna Ferris in a Scary Movie role. Part of it is a bit weak, but the idea is great, and Rogan carries this off really well.

Observe and Report is underrated and amazing. Great performances, Great Story and Great Laughs. Seth Rogen at his very best. The supporting cast is also undeniably wonderful. A very funny movie this is.

It takes a couple watches to really like this movie... The first time you are caught off guard with a rogen we have never seen before (only laughed like 5 times and it always had to do with the pervert) but after watching it the second time you like it more it grows on you which is GOOD ! What I really like about this movie is Seth isn't his usual character, even if he's odd and awkward in this film it works out great with a great end scene that is unforgettable. I will say this is a classic Seth movie and still is funny to this date.

So this movie was supposed to be the "Mall Cop" we actually WANTED to see. While it wasn't nearly as bad as "Mall Cop" this film still wasn't anything special. I feel like the concept of a someone stuck in the mall cop job has the potential to be funny but no one has executed the idea properly. There are parts where "Observe and Report" can be humorous but they are sporadic and odd. The ending was the only true funny part but waiting through the entire movie to get there just wasn't worth it. Seth Rogen and Anna Faris have both done better.
