Description

When city police find a murder victim who was somehow forced to die of overeating, it puts veteran Detective William Sommerset and his new, talented but still green partner, Detective David Mills, on a desperate hunt for a serial killer who is making statements by staging his victims as tableaus of the Seven Deadly Sins. The first corpse found was "Gluttony," and soon the detectives find more: a lawyer killed because of his Greed; an insurance scammer killed for his Sloth; a fashion model killed for her Pride. Each murder scene is elaborately planned, the victims chosen specifically because of who they are, and posed methodically in death. With time running out for the last two possible victims -- Envy and Wrath -- can Sommerset and Mills get ahead of the killer before his final two acts come to deadly fruition? Starring Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey, Gwyneth Paltrow and R. Lee Ermey. Directed by Academy Award and Golden Globe-nominee David Fincher.

Message of the movie is the world is a terrible place, but a good world is still worth fighting for. Terrible ending, don’t watch unless you want to see terrible things and be horrified.

I’m sure that an entire movie of nonstop disgusting misery porn might be SOME PEOPLE’S idea of a good time, but for as long as I live I shall never for the life of me understand why

This movie is really disturbing and sick if you have a weak stomach or any sickness this movie is for you because Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman are trying to find this buffalo bill killer who leaves the seven deadly sins on each victim which is brutal and sometimes even gross perfect movie to all whole love to dig down on mystery movies.

This movie inspired a whole new canon of tv shows and films just like air and I think that Morgan freeman and brad Pitt were excellent in their portrayal of two regular detectives.

This easily makes my top 10 of all time movie list. Great thriller, original and with three of the best actors of this time. Freeman of course is amazing. You get to see a rougher version of Pitt. Spacey? Chilling performance as always. The ultimate "crazy guy." The ending is gruesome and shocking. I love it. Watch it at least once.

Yeah so a lot of people that seen this probably watched it over and over so it's kind of been a bit buried in a lot of people's movie closets. This movie is worth revisiting for it's beautiful blu ray restoration and brings out the fine details this movie has too offer. Particularly the crime scenes. A lot of heart and effort went into this movie. As well as some of the best performances from Pitt, Freeman, and Paltrow of their careers. I also really like R. Lee Ermney in this. A must see if you like dark mysteries. I think this is David Fincher at his peak, but that is a matter of opinion.
