It is kinda a boring series but some of it is ok 😐

Love the acting and the story. Great show. Highly recommend.

Boring

Two thousand dollars for a private moment???. Maybe for a Playmate of the year. Not these women. Hookers are not girls with hearts of gold. They are for the most parts lazy white trash. Ms. Keough was rise in Beverly Hills, West LA, and in a huge house on top of a mountain in Encino. She is part of the one percent. Show is very addictable and great for binge watching. I thought this series was excellent!

This American Life mentioned this series, and half listened to the promotion. When I saw it on itunes I was pretty excited, the storyline has the moral greys that make it enticing and engrossing. But thats where it ends. I am unable to garner whether this is a slice of life series, or if the pauses and close up camera shots at the dramatic moments are a forceful attempt to be artistic. The show doesn't convey enough visceral quality to make up for the lack of character depth in everyone including Riley Keough. Either way, The Girlfriend Experience cannot make up its mind in storyline or style, and in the process I find myself searching the internet instead of watching it streaming.

I really enjoyed this show and hope to see Season 2. Riley Keough's performance is outstanding.

Well there's certainly lots of sex, but the scenes between them are very well acted and the character development is superb. After a while though, the sex scenes almost become routine-like which I'm not sure is intended or not, with the same positions and camera angle and whatever. I was also looking forward to seeing some spectacular scenic shots of Chicago, but was disappointed to learn that most of the show was filmed in Toronto. I realize there are budget incentives to film in Toronto, but I really hope they'll shoot some scenes in Chicago if this goes for season 2. There were some scenes with really weird CGI that tried to mix in iconic Chicago buildings into the Toronto skyline.

BOOOOOORING.

This show will surely be admonished by those who fancy themselves to be of superior "moral" fiber. However, we'll know that they are truly sexually repressed. Bravo for showing the vulnerability of men and women, along with our selfishness and the effect we have on one another in our efforts to feel loved.
