Top marks for one of the finest Trek series, but why it is not available in HD is ridiculous. Even the DVD's look better. I hope Paramount gives DS9 the HD treatment it deserves.

This by far is my favorite Star Trek series. I might be perhaps a bit biased since I watched this when I was coming of age in high school and early college years, but I really enjoyed this series for a number of reasons, but one of the primary reasons I enjoy it is due to the extremely rich character development and the engagement of a number of ethical dilemmas and issues that I felt we’re ahead of its time when it was filmed in the 1990s. I feel the acting is exceptional, with the majority of the cast being stage trained. The serialization and plot arcs was new to Star Trek at that time and really valuable as it expanded the understanding of the Star Trek universe. Also, one of the highlights of the show was the ethical dilemmas, religion and how it could be linked to issues facing our society today. When I watched the last series episode - I thought it was a great ending and pretty much brought me to tears and was an emotional end, watching this truly was a journey. Thirty years later, I still watch this series again and I enjoy it every time. I still really enjoy every series I feel that where TOS and TNG added a framework; DS9 pushed the envelope of storytelling in the Star Trek universe.

Purchased this and started watching it with my wife. 5 seasons in and I never really questioned the terrible quality until I accidentally started playing an episode on Paramount Plus. The difference was almost between SD and HD. I ended up Purchasing the DVDs and the quality was similar to the Paramount Plus episodes. One charges your a monthly fee, and the apple versions were purchased and look absolutely terrible. Keeping the DVDs and will refrain from ever buying digital only ever again.

Do not buy this at the menus are terrible if you have a favorite episode it is impossible to locate it because all of the 176 episodes are in one continuous line. You have to go through the entire list of 176 episodes to find the one you want. I really do not like going through seven seasons to find one episode. This set is poorly executed and poorly planned a waste of your money do not buy.

No other Star Trek series is as richly detailed and deeply thoughtful as this one. The opportunity to focus on just a few cultures allow for in-depth examination of their religion, politics, histories, economies and contradictions. This is ahead of its time, a serial drama that tells the saga of the Dominion War from its origins to its conclusions. This has long been my personal favorite of the ST series. It's a shame, therefore, that this digital format has not yet been remastered in HD form.

This is STAR TREK at its very finest and television that is years ahead of the times. I grew up on classic TREK and TNG but had never done DS9 despite it having a reputation for high quality. During the lockdown in 2020 I finally took the dive and my reward was a smart, adult, nuanced piece of entertainment that feels worthy of the modern "golden era" of cable dramas while somehow still feeling 100% like STAR TREK. It will take two seasons to set the chess pieces but if you stick with it you'll be given a complete story with the strongest characterization, writing and performances that the franchise has ever seen.

Grew up watching DS9. With Next Gen the very best of Star Trek. Classic reborn now digital. Dream come true.

There is zero excuse when movies from the 1920s & ‘30s plus tv series from the 1960s are in HD and Voyager is not. Sorry, Apple. Not buying it until you give us an HD version. An insult to the series.🥵
