Description

The Unit is an action drama that follows a covert team of special forces operatives as they risk their lives on undercover missions around the globe, while their wives maintain the homefront, protecting their husbands' secrets. Jonas Blane leads the unit on missions out in the field and is responsible for taking elite new recruit Bob Brown under his wing. The Unit includes Jonas, Colonel Tom Ryan, Mack Gerhardt, Charles Grey, Hector Williams, and Bob Brown, all highly skilled soldiers, whose ability to rely on each other in life-threatening situations creates their unique brotherhood. Jonas' wife, Molly, is the base matriarch who comforts and counsels the other wives as they cope with the fear and uncertainty they experience when their husbands leave home. Molly and Tiffy Gerhardt, a wife hiding her own dark secrets, help Bob's pregnant wife, Kim, acclimate to the stress of her new secret life.

Some well tried characters. The black sergeant is the least bad played. Others sound like the bus to the casting was broken on that day. Women are so pathetically exaggerated... The plot could be considered a 2 or low 3. And, as far as the sceneries (no real landscape)are concerned, 98% aren't looking at all as they should in life 30% real. The last 2 % are shot in some abandoned quarrys. Really looks like a bad '78 TV show So, if you expect real low level show, congrats, you found it!

After watching the first 3 episodes, I'm hooked. This show reminds me of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, and I'm only sorry I didn't find this show sooner. If you're a fan of the show, you'll like Clancy's book and visa-versa. Also really glad to see Dennis Haysbert play the lead in another series. He was so great in 24, but totally under-appreciated in Hollywood.

this is by far one of the best tv shows i have ever seen it has action bubbling over the top. extensive charactor development. logical but unpredictable plot line spanning from day one right through to the climactic ending. i still go back and rewatch past episodes and will continue to be an avid fan and supporter of "The Unit."
